Jim Koepnick
Jim Koepnick is a northeast Wisconsin Professional Photographer with 33 years experience. In addition to creatively handling any commercial photography assignments, he is also one of the worlds premier aviation photographers. Jim has photographed over 1000 aircraft while on air-to-air missions and supplied over 500 cover images during a 28 year career at EAA.
Koepnick Photography is not limited, however, to only subjects that fly. Jim is highly recognized for his creative freelance photography, which includes weddings, events, commercial photography including merchandise and food, automobiles, sports, underwater and travel. In addition to 28 years of experience at EAA, which includes portrait and studio work, events, editorial as well as aerial work, Jim has had 25 years serving Ripon College for event and publication coverage. He is a member of Wisconsin Imaging Photographers Association, Wisconsin News Photographers Association, Sports Shooters, National Association of Photoshop Professionals and the International Society of Aviation Photographers. His photography has has been a consistent winner of awards from Aviation Week and Space Technology, Wisconsin Imaging Photographers Association, American Advertising Federation and Calendar Marketing Association. His photojournalism has received awards from Wisconsin Newspaper Association, Wisconsin Press Photographers Association and Inland Press. Koepnick's "Hands of Time" photograph of the Omro, Wisconsin clock tower, which appeared in the Oshkosh Northwestern Newspaper in the 80's, was published later by Life Magazine. The image was selected for "Life Classic Photos", a hard cover book of the best images published by Life.
Magazines-Books Koepnick's artistry, skill and experience have resulted in award-winning images that have been printed in magazines such as Life, Time, Flying, Men's Journal, People, Wisconsin Trails and Popular Mechanics. His advertising work includes Columbia Coffee and Canon. 
Canon Jim has not only been sponsored by Canon while at EAA,, including two national magazine ads, but also has been a contributor to the Canon Digital Learning Center.
